Role Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced CCTV Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain CCTV network infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance and security. Your technical expertise, analytical skills, and commitment to excellence will be essential in delivering reliable surveillance solutions and supporting the organization’s operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure Management: Ensure seamless operation of network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and switches, while maintaining connectivity and system reliability.
- High Availability VPN Setup: Configure and manage High Availability VPNs to guarantee consistent and secure connectivity across all locations.
- Collaboration with CCTV Team: Partner with the CCTV infrastructure team to enhance network performance, reliability, and uptime.
- Documentation & Network Diagrams: Produce detailed and accurate documentation, including network diagrams, to support operations and troubleshooting.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform daily monitoring tasks using specialized technologies to ensure optimal network performance and address potential issues proactively.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network problems efficiently to minimize disruptions and downtime.
- Firmware Updates & Security: Update network devices regularly to address coding vulnerabilities, ensuring security and compliance with industry standards.
- LAN Management: Monitor, maintain, and manage local area network (LAN) infrastructure to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation.
Candidate Requirements:
- Expertise: 5-7 years of network engineering experience is required.
- Education: Cisco certifications or equivalent training.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in TCP/IP networking.
- Understanding of switching technologies (Ethernet, VLANs, and Spanning Tree).
- Knowledge of VPN and QoS technologies.
- Ability to analyze sniffer traces with tools such as Wireshark.
- Understanding of application layer protocols like SNMP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with the Syslog protocol.
- Knowledge of security technologies such as IPSec, UTM, and DDoS.
- Understanding of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as ESXi and Proxmox.
- Knowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP, as well as related technologies.
- Understanding of HA techniques such as VRRP, HSRP, VSS, VPC, and Multichassis Etherchannel.
